Congratulations on the purchase of your brand new 4 zone Freedom Breeder Thermostat. The purpose of this video is to show you how to easily program the settings your new thermostat. After plugging in the thermostat and all of the included probes, the first thing you’ll want to do is set the current time as well as the time for night and day. To do this simply press the set button and the day time will start blinking. Set what hour you want your thermostats day to start by pressing the arrow keys, then press set again and set the minute you want the day to start. Press set again to set the time you want night to start. Press set one more time to set the actual time. Press OK at anytime to exit the setup mode.
Now it’s time to set up your zones. Press the M button to toggle through each zone. The zone number will flash for the zone you are setting. You can turn any zone on or off by hitting the off button while in setup mode. Use the arrow keys to switch your zone to either cooling, heating, lighting or pulse proportional mode. When in pulse proportional mode. Press set to change to the day temp and use the arrow keys to set your desired temperature. Press set again to change the night temp. If you do not want the temperature to drop at night simply set the night temp the same as the day temp. Press set again and use the arrow keys select the minimum amount of degrees away from your set temp that you want an alarm to go off. For example If your temp is set to 90 and you want to hear an alarm if the temp goes above 93 or below 87, set the alarm for 3 degrees. In heating or cooling mode you have the option set the difference. We recommend setting the difference at 0.1 degrees to keep your temperature most stable. In lighting mode simply set the percentage of power that you want sent to your light source during the day and then press set again to set the percentage for the night time.
