Euro Display Assembly Instructions

**If your freedom breeder display cage(s) came un-assembled READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE ASSEMBLING CAGE(S)

1.       Check the box for damage and to see if you have received all the pieces

·         One cage with no options should include:

·         (1) Bottom tray inside of bottom assembly

·         (2) Pieces of tempered glass for the front

·         (2) Pieces of tempered glass for the sides’

·         (2)Glass tabs to be put on front glass for sliding

·         (2) Pieces of aluminum tubing with 1/8” flange for back plastic

·         (2) pieces of aluminum for front of the cage

·         (1) piece of flat plastic for back of cage

·         (1) Top assembly with molded top piece

·         (4) Stacking Plugs

·         Other options may include glass locks, casters, heat panel and digital controller

2.       Identify the front of the cage by looking for the grey plastic glass rail on the bottom tray assembly

3.       Unwrap the 4 pieces of aluminum and take the 2 pieces of aluminum with NO flange and use a rubber mallet to hit the 2 pieces of aluminum on the front of the bottom tray assembly. You may also “wiggle” the aluminum while pressing down.

4.       Take remaining 2 pieces of aluminum WITH 1/8” flange and use a rubber mallet to hit the 2 pieces of aluminum in. LINE UP THE 1/8” FLANGES WITH THE 1/8” FLANGE ON THE BACK OF THE BOTTEM TRAY ASSEMBALY. Note: if you make a accident simply pull on the aluminum pieces while “wiggling” to remove and correct the problem

5.       Take the top assembly and identify the front by looking for the grey plastic glass rail on the top assembly.

6.       Remove the molded top lid by turning the 4 plastic tabs.  Top lid can be permanently fixed by running a small bead of silicone along the flange of the top assembly.

7.       Insert back plastic into back of the cage by sliding into the 1/8” flanges. Make sure back is fully into the bottom tray assembly.

8.       Use a rubber mallet to hit in the front two corners of the top lid assembly.

9.       While making sure the back plastic is feeding into the 1/8” flange on the top lid assembly, hit in one back corner with a rubber mallet.

10.   Again, while making sure the back plastic is feeding into the 1/8” flange on the top lid assembly, hit in the last back corner with a rubber mallet.

11.   Remove glass from packaging, clean and install all of the glass by pushing the top edge of the glass into the top flange and gently dropping the bottom edge of the glass into the bottom flange.

12.   Remove paper from the back finger tabs to expose the adhesive side and install on the front glass panels. We usually put them in the middle of the glass along the left and right sides of the front two panels of glass.

13.   If your cage has a heat panel, simply remove the bottom tray and rest the heat panel on the front and back of the aluminum frame under the tray. NOTE: Bottom tray can only be removed when cotter pin is pulled out by removing the front glass and pushing out the cotter pin.

14.   Making sure that cord is on the backside of the cage, slide tray back into bottom tray assembly and reinstall the cotter pin and front glass. Do not use heat panel without the proper heat controller and the probe that comes with a heat controller. Also you should not put the cage directly on any flammable surface such as carpet.

15.   If you are going to stack your display cages use the included stacking plugs on the four corners and stack another display cages by resting them on the four corner stacking plugs.

16.   Contact Freedom Breeder at 209-664-9600 if you have any questions about the prober set up of the heat panel or and other concerns.
